【略歴】
高知県いの町出身。高校卒業後に上阪し、重要無形文化財保持者である故・常磐津三蔵氏のもとで修行を積む。19歳で師範を許された後、小唄田村流家元・田村てる氏に師事し、同流派の免状を取得。伝統的な正統派演奏を守りながらも、ポップスやオリジナル曲を織り交ぜた独自の演奏スタイルを確立。国内外を問わず、三味線と土佐民謡の魅力を発信し続けている。
【主な活動・地域貢献】
・国内外での演奏：
よさこい祭りなど高知県内のイベントへの出演、高知新港では海外客船クルーズの見送り演奏を担当する傍ら、高知県の観光に携わるイベントに多数出演。
高知県外および海外での活動について、東京国立劇場や三越劇場での公演、アメリカ・フロリダ州オーランド「JAPAN Festival」、ドイツハンブルク日本領事館主催「さくら祭り」国際交流イベントや展示会など多数出演。
・文化の継承・教育：
高知県立坂本龍馬記念館の館内BGMに音源を提供。高知県立歴史民俗資料館に「土佐の民謡」の楽譜と音源を寄贈、保管される。また、「三味線教室めぶき会」を主宰するほか、県立伊野商業高校三味線部の指導にあたる。

Hanae Tamura
Preserving the Soul of Japan’s Living Traditions
Hailing from the vibrant region of Kochi, Japan, I am a classical shamisen artist and vocalist dedicated to sharing the profound beauty of Japan’s musical heritage with the world. My artistic journey is built upon a pristine classical lineage, having undergone rigorous discipline under the late Tokiwazu Sanzo, a designated Living National Treasure. Through this elite mentorship, I achieved the prestigious title of "Shihan" (Grand Master) in Tokiwazu—the intricate, dynamic narrative music that drives the legendary stages of Kabuki theatre.
Demonstrating a rare versatility that connects different worlds of traditional sound, I also mastered the art of Kouta—the evocative, minimalist short songs of the Meiji period. Training under the renowned maestro Tamura Teru IV, I earned my second Grand Master title in the Tamura lineage.
With numerous national classical competition awards to my name, my lifelong mission is not just to perform, but to bring the living spirit of the classical shamisen closer to people's hearts, honoring this profound heritage while welcoming a global audience into its beautiful world.
